The objective was to give the house a better use of its spaces and to improve the connection between them.
The valorization of the characteristics of the traditional architecture of the 70s, with the worked exterior spaces and facades, and the integration of open interior spaces, allowing as much visual control as possible between the various areas, were the main objectives of this project.
It was decided to give continuity to the architectural language existing in the exterior façades, in contrast to the new posterior façade: contemporary and less intimate, extending to the exterior. Thus, a more daring and freer effect was achieved.
The proposed rear façade acquires a very different design from the existing one. The design confers more balance to the current volumetry, resorting to the game / relationship between the existing covers and the new. A new “body”, simple and energetic, complements the existing dynamics. This new “body”, of contemporary language, contains certain elements whose solutions are also proposed for other elements of the different façades, thus conferring coherence and a solid and elegant character.
